Mr. Velcan is an experienced International Managing Director with a demonstrated history of working in the automotive industry. Starting at Goodyear in 1999 he has built up a wealth of experience in developing talent and teams multi-nationally, as well as aligning local and regional market strategies. Since 2012 he is managing Goodyear’s Off-The-Road (OTR) business in Europe, Middle East and Africa and he is widely regarded as an expert in Goodyear’s OTR business. Formerly, Octavian Velcan was responsible for Middle East & Africa Sales & Marketing operations as General Manager located in Dubai and worked as General Manager for Goodyear Romania. Prior to joining Goodyear he held various sales positions in automotive, consumer batteries and home appliances industries.
