Hydrogen as a fuel is one of the most promising ways to decarbonise combustion engines in order to meet future emissions regulations. Activities in Europe are focussed on high-performance engines, particularly in the off-road sector. FUCHS is convinced that the inclusion of engine oil as a key component right from the start of engine design leads to synergistic effects in the development phase and ultimately in the application. The presentation will discuss the FUCHS findings on engine oil development for the H2 engine and show that FUCHS will offer its customers dedicated engine oils for the hydrogen combustion engine in the near future.
