International bauma Innovation Award
The organizers award the prize to research and development teams from companies and universities that are bringing practical leading technology for the construction, building materials, construction machinery and mining industry to market readiness while focusing on resources, the environment and people.
bauma – a driving force behind innovations
The international Innovation Award was presented for the 14th time at bauma 2025. The competition is a joint project of bauma and these renowned associations:
- VDMA Construction – Equipment and Plant Engineering (VDMA)
- German Construction Industry Association (HDB)
- Central Association of the German Construction Industry (ZDB)
- German Building Materials Association (bbs)
Exhibitors at bauma 2025 and member companies of the construction associations HDB, ZDB and bbs could apply in the following five categories:
- Climate protection
- Digitization
- Machine technology
- Construction
- Research
The awards ceremony took place on April 6 at the ICM. Federal Minister Klara Geywitz and Bavarian State Minister Hubert Aiwanger congratulated the winners together with the laudators and presented the awards.
The winners are:
- ROTHO ProCarbonCure, Robert Thomas GmbH - Climate protection
- Liebherr Autonomous Operations, Liebherr-Werk Bischofshofen GmbH - Digitalization
- Tunnel Enlargement System, Herrenknecht AG - Machine technology
- New composite bridge construction method, Adam Hörnig Baugesellschaft mbH & Co KG - Construction
- MAXX - Mobile Assembly X-System, Center Construction Robotics (RWTH) - Research
