Since its premiere at bauma 2022, the "Machines in Construction MiC 4.0" working group has continuously worked on further developing the flagship project. The results of this important work will be presented again in the Innovation hall bauma LAB0 at the upcoming bauma 2025. Until we receive further details on the presentation, we would like to invite you to get a first impression via the review.
The pursuit of more efficiency and environmental protection, profitability and security is increasingly leading to digitalized planning and construction processes. Research and science, companies and institutions are working on the topics of data management, BIM, virtual and augmented reality, machine-to-machine communication, telemetry data, standardization and digital twins to create the construction site of tomorrow.
MiC 4.0 BUS is a universal, uniform and manufacturer-independent data interface between attachment tools and construction machinery that can display all the relevant use cases for communication between construction machinery and attachments. The MiC 4.0 BUS therefore represents a big step toward “attachment as an IoT device”.
Following bauma, the MiC 4.0 BUS was published and made available to all interested manufacturers, with the goal of becoming the standard in communication between attachment tools and construction machinery.
At the MiC 4.0 stand, visitors could also discuss and consider all other types and classes of construction machinery as regards a uniform digital language and a uniform data understanding with experts.
