VR Experience
An additional highlight at bauma was the digital construction site in Innovation Hall LAB0, brought to life by TU Dresden and leading companies from the construction industry. There will also be another VR Experience in 2025. Until we receive further details about the presentation, we would like to invite you to get a first impression via the review.
Throwback 2022: The digital construction site
bauma 2022 gave you a truly accurate impression of current research projects, including the digital construction site. Real pioneering work is being done in this unique test environment.
Try out new, digitally-driven technologies in a real construction site environment on a test site set up specifically for this purpose.
Here, construction machines operate fully automatically and are networked with each other, drones monitor the construction progress at regular intervals and everything is controlled and documented remotely with the construction site control system.
You could go directly to the test site in Hoyerswerda virtually. Here you had the opportunity to get to grips with individual test scenarios and interact with the test environment.
Among other things, you could see the following use cases:
- Automated machine movements from a mobile excavator, a wheel loader and a loading crane
- Local networking via a special 5G campus networking for the construction site
- Construction progress monitoring using drones
- Model-based construction site management from as-planned to as-built
