bauma TALK webinar 1: Construction methods and materials of tomorrow

Learn more about the latest solutions for decarbonization in cement production and 3D printing in the construction industry. In bauma TALK webinar 1 you will get new impulses from the industry.

The construction industry is preparing for the future, starting with sustainable raw material extraction and future-oriented construction methods. Construction methods and materials of tomorrow is the topic of the first bauma TALK webinar.

Our technical experts talk about carbon emissions in cement production and show current approaches to decarbonization. In addition, new construction methods such as 3D printing are highlighted. How does the technology work, what are the benefits and how can the construction industry make the best use of it?

bauma TALK 2 webinar: The way to autonomous machines

Experts talk about the way to autonomous machines and cobots that already work together with classic construction machines. bauma TALK webinar 2 brings you up to date and gives you an insight into the man-machine relationship of the future.

Every construction site is unique and subject to the changing conditions of its environment. What all construction sites have in common is a shortage of skilled labor and stagnating productivity. How must machines and technologies be developed to counteract demographic change and the shortage of skilled workers?

In the bauma TALK webinar 2, our technical experts shed light on the way to autonomous machines. In fact, automation and optimized workflows are also in high demand on construction sites. Excavators, vibratory plates and the like used to get bigger and bigger, but today electrification is enabling construction machinery to be re-miniaturized. See how autonomous machines - small cobots - are already working together with classic construction machinery.

Speakers:

Prof. Dr.-Ing. Martin Sobczyk - Professorship for Networked Mobile Machines, TU Bergakademie Freiberg,
Title: Productivity of the combined Human-Machine-Systems – key factor for innovative drivetrains

Maximilian Schöberl - Research Associate, Technical University of Munich,
Title: From Radio-controlled to Collaborative Compaction – The Arrival of Cobots

Prof. Dr.-Ing. Jürgen Weber - Director, Institute of Mechatronic Engineering, TU Dresden,

Marius Nono Tamo - Research Associate, TH Köln,
Title: Path from the work process to automation in road construction – road paver

Host:

Stephan Oehme - Consultant Mining, Construction - Equipment and Plant Engineering, VDMA

bauma TALK webinar 3: Digital construction site

Experts talk about the digital construction site. Learn more about BIM, fleet management systems, electronic delivery notes and much more.

bauma TALK webinar 3 brings you up to date with the latest developments and gives you an outlook on what the optimum digital construction site of the future could look like.

What exactly is meant by a digital construction site? First and foremost, it is the handling of all construction processes via central, digital systems such as software solutions and apps. Their advantage: data can be communicated quickly and reliably via laptop, smartphone and PC. At the same time, the digital construction site requires the constant exchange of information between all participants. This is exactly where the challenge begins: the data of machines from different manufacturers are not directly comparable. Uniform standards are needed for this.

In bauma TALK Webinar 3, our experts discuss the path to the digital construction site and take you on a journey from the user of the construction machinery to initial trials in research and implementation in practice.

Speakers:

Michael Tonke - Hauptverband der Deutschen Bauindustrie, Head of Mechanical Department, Wayss & Freytag Ingenieurbau AG,
Title: Digitalization of the construction machinery from the user´s perspective

Prof. Dr.-Ing. Jürgen Weber - Director, Institut für Mechatronischen Maschinenbau, TU Dresden,
Title: System architecture, machine data integration and connectivity on future construction sites

Alexander Mozer - Team Leader Machine Digitization, Leonhard Weiss GmbH & Co. KG,
Title: Digital machine data – from the perspective of a construction company

Katharina Schick - Project Engineer Attachment Tools, Liebherr Hydraulikbagger GmbH,
Title: MiC 4.0 BUS – An open data interface for attachments as the key to a smart construction site

Host:

Darius Soßdorf - Managing Director MiC 4.0 and FVB, VDMA

bauma TALK webinar 4: Mining—sustainable, efficient and reliable

Under the term Mining 4.0, stakeholders from mining, the supplier industry and science are developing future-proof solutions.

Representatives of mining companies, the supply industry and academia are taking part in bauma TALK webinar 4 as speakers. From these three perspectives, you learn how reliable, efficient and sustainable mining is possible.

Mining has not always had a good reputation. Environmental issues, water pollution and conflicts with local communities of the extraction areas were some of the problems. The webinar aims to show the vital importance of mining for a low carbon economy and how this can be done in a responsible way. State-of-the-art technology helps to face challenging conditions.

bauma TALK webinar 4 shows which solutions various players are developing under the term Mining 4.0 in order to be able to deal with the diverse challenges.

Speakers:

Elisabeth Clausen - Head of Department, Institute of Advanced Mining Technologies,
Title: The human-centered climate smart mine

Michael Waller - Manager Interoperability, Roy Hill Holding,
Title: Automation and interoperability in Mining

Eduardo Lima - Global Product Manager for Digital Mining, ABB Switzerland,
Title: Journey to the digital mine

Christophe Didier - Director of Georesources, BRGM,
Title: Towards a „responsible mining“ approach. An ambitious challenge for International Standardisation.

Host:

Christoph Danner - VDMA

bauma TALK webinar 5: The way to Zero Emission

The term "zero emission" describes the absence of pollutants and primarily the greenhouse gas carbon dioxide. The construction machinery industry is currently also intensively dealing with this topic.

bauma TALK Webinar Nr. 5 is built around the partnership between machinery suppliers, rental companies and construction contractors.

The way to zero emission is a journey that has to be undertaken in different steps, some of them can only be made by certain institutions and organisations.

But it is also important to include the dimension of policymaking in this field. Policy and regulation play a decisive role in setting long-term goals and create the best conditions for long-lasting investments and innovation, which is needed on the road to zero emissions.

Speakers:

Renke Deckarm - Deputy Head of Regional Representation of the EU Commission, Title: The European Green Deal

Thomas Bauer - Chairman of Supervisory Board BAUER AG,
Title: The way to zero emissions in construction

Martin Sebestyén - Director Fleet Zeppelin Rental GmbH,
Title: How is rental helping to achieve net zero emissions

Alexander Greschner - CSO Wacker Neuson SE,
Title: The zero emission construction site

Host:

Riccardo Viaggi - Secretary General, Committee for European Construction Equipment (CECE)

The bauma TALK webinars are held in English.
