Your application for bauma 2028
Present at bauma—represented in the world. Apply to become a part of the world's leading trade fair for construction machinery, building materials and mining machines, construction vehicles and equipment.
Application as main exhibitor
Anyone wishing to participate in bauma as an exhibitor must apply online as a main exhibitor. The application is not binding. How you can apply, and what you should pay attention to, is explained here.
Important: Please note that all exhibits must correspond to the bauma product groups directory and that used and leased machinery may not be exhibited.
Change of company name: Has your company already participated as an exhibitor at bauma and has your company name changed since then? In this case, please inform us via the comments field in the online registration or by email to exhibiting@bauma.de.
Official registration deadline for main exhibitors: January 29, 2027
Main exhibitors who wish to have co-exhibitors at their stand must register them online as well. Further information

The application process step by step
Main exhibitor application
We are pleased that you wish to participate in bauma as a main exhibitor. Please read the following instructions carefully; they contain important information regarding the application process. All further information on preparing your trade-fair participation can be found under Tips, Dates & Deadlines.
Please note: Applying for bauma, does not entail a legally binding contract for booth space. If we can offer booth space to you, you will receive a placement proposal from us in the summer of 2027. The placement proposal only includes the stand space itself; stand building and equipment are not included. These and various other services can be booked later, after the placement proposal has been accepted, via the
Exhibitor Shop.
Withdrawal from the registration: The registration for bauma 2028 is not legally binding, i.e. withdrawal of the registration is possible free of charge until the placement proposal has been confirmed. If you want to withdraw the registration, please write to: exhibiting@bauma.de
How to apply
- Take note of the General Terms of Participation A, the Special Terms of Participation B and the Technical Guidelines listed below.
- Switch to the online application and enter all required data. Please do not forget to submit the form at the end.
- A personal e-mail address must be used for each contact specified. It is not possible to use one e-mail address for several persons.
- You can note requests and comments regarding your space, e.g. an increase in size or location in another area, in the comments field of the online registration. Please note that we cannot guarantee that we can comply with your request.
- The contact named in the application will receive the placement proposal, our exhibitor information as well as the log-in details for the bauma Exhibitor Shop.
- The registered company is the contractual partner and thus the invoice recipient.
Placement process
Start of allocation and placement proposal
The allocation process of the booths in the halls and the outdoor space will start after the official deadline for main exhibitors at the end of January 2027. After checking your application and subject to a placement possibility and affiliation to the defined classification, we will send you a placement proposal in the spring / summer of 2027 after completion of overall planning.
Feedback placement proposal
You agree with your placement? Then please confirm your placement proposal within the set deadline. Please note: by confirming the placement proposal, the registration becomes legally valid. From this point on, cancellation fees will apply if you cancel your trade fair participation. For details on the cancellation fees, please refer to the PDF documentGeneral Terms of Participation A.
You do not agree with your placement?
Then you can either request an alternative placement or withdraw your registration free of charge. Please note that the possibilities for reallocating your booth at bauma may be limited due to high demand and that it may not be possible to consider all customer requests.
Please respond to your placement proposal within the specified deadline by clicking the appropriate button to either confirm or reject it.
Invoicing
Admission invoice
The admission invoices will be sent out in summer/fall 2027. The payment deadline is January 12, 2028. Please note that invoices are always issued to the company registered as exhibitor. If you would like an order number to be included on our invoices, we require this information in good time before the invoice is issued.
The admission invoice includes the following items:
- Participation fee per m² space
- Application fee
- Mandatory communication fee
- Marketing fee
- Advance payment for services
- Fixed waste-disposal fee
- AUMA charge
The exhibitor is only authorized to participate in the trade fair after the admission invoice has been paid.
Final invoice
Final invoices will be sent approximately 8 weeks after the end of the trade fair (payment term: immediately).
The final invoice includes the costs of orders placed via the exhibitor shop. The advance payment for services, which has been made with the payment of the admission invoice, will be offset against the services actually rendered.
Please note that some services, such as media services, catering, rental services, shipping services, parking permits, etc. will be invoiced directly by the service partner.
Co-exhibitor application
Main exhibitors who wish to register co-exhibitors for participation in bauma can do so online using an individual link. The registration is mandatory.
Deadline for applying as a co-exhibitor: December 10, 2027
You are also welcome to register co-exhibitors after this deadline. Please note that co-exhibitors will only appear in the printed visitors' guide if they register before the deadline.
Registering co-exhibitors for your stand
- You will find the individual link for registering your co-exhibitor(s) in the email received after completing the online application. The link will also be available in your online application account after you have registered. Under "My applications", select the "co-exhibitors" icon next to the stand space; here you will find the registration link.
- Please send this link directly to your co-exhibitor(s) in order for them to register.
- If you are registered as an exhibitor for various events of Messe München, please make sure that you select the bauma registration.
- If you have registered several stands for bauma, please select the stand for which you want to register your co-exhibitor(s).
- The application fee and the mandatory communication fee for co-exhibitors will be invoiced to the main exhibitor (final invoice).
Important information on using the Messe München Account for exhibitor registration
1. You don't have a Messe München account yet? Please register. You will receive an e-mail with a verification code, which you must confirm within 60 minutes.
2. You already have a Messe München account? Please log in with your access data.
3. Your previous access data doesn't work? Use the “Forgot password” function or register again if necessary.
Note: Did you last use your Messe München account before April 2024? In this case, a new registration may be necessary due to a system change. This requires a password consisting of at least 12 characters with upper- and lower-case letters, number(s) and special characters.
