The THINK BIG! career event is the perfect opportunity for students to learn about a wide range of professions within the construction machinery industry. And for exhibitors, it is the ideal platform to get today's young people excited about the technical professions of tomorrow.
Young talent for the industry
THINK BIG! is an initiative of the VDMA Baumaschinen und Baustoffanlagen and Messe München. Together with our exhibitors, at bauma 2025, we would once again like to inspire students for technology, motivating them for technical apprenticeships and courses of study in the construction machinery industry. Above all, we want to encourage girls to get involved and work in this area.
A close look at the working world: your stage, your questions
The THINK BIG! format offers you exciting hands-on activities led by trainees and workshop managers. On the “Werkstatt Live!” stage, excavators and other machines are taken apart, processes will be explained, discussed and trainees involved will be interviewed. Everything about the machines will be explained and your questions will be answered. The apprentices will give you an insight into their training and careers in a relaxed but professional atmosphere.

Impressions THINK BIG 2022!
The career event for students took place for the fourth time at bauma 2022. During the 5 working days of bauma 2022, we were able to welcome around 12,000 pupils from the 7th to 12th grades from all types of schools. Would you like to get an impression for yourself?
